A Poem on Power

November 8, 2016 by Isaac Hovet

There’s nothing so beautiful as the King of Glory on bended knee.

Humility is the way to victory.

No such chance has pomp or powerBut when we serve in our tough hour.

We walk in strength and in power.

The power of his hour.

The power of the great Hour.

“Father forgive them and give them

This power!”

The power of the King.

And let this anthem ring: God kneels.

And reveals. A way. The way.

That keeps at bay!

Our prime fault.

Boom! It rings.

And it brings more men on knees.

Clamped and cuffed in actuality.

Children pawns to victory.

But it is a loss.

Sheath that sword you scared Peter.

And look again to the leader.

Died in power.

The power of a knee planted in.
