Wacky Wednesday

March 2, 2016 by Isaac Hovet

The beat goes on!

The beat of the drums!

The beat of the endless shouting in our ears!

The ringing of emergency!

The clatter for attention! For fix, for change, for hope, for new, for better, for greatness again!

The beat, the beat, the beat.

Beaten into our heads is doom.

Beaten into our souls is despair.

But, hark! The King is here. He does not shout. He does not accuse. He does not despair, but seems to be moved with compassion. Atop a donkey he rides! No power, no protection, no guns threatening the naysayers, the rebels away.

Just love.

Ferocious and courageous kindness.
