We, by virtue of our sin nature, are married to fear. We serve fear and her children: worry and anxiety. Consuming our energy and dimming our vision, this vile betrothal begets legacies of doom.
Today, I am disavowing my allegiance to such wickedness and taking up faith, hope and love. My divorce of fear is final and though I may be tempted to walk the hallway of “what if” again, I’ll never go back to unrest. Rather, I’ll confess my lack of trust and take up his promises again—
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest…”
