My Blog

May 4, 2005 by Isaac Hovet

I don’t know what is going on, but I haven’t been able to access my blog for the last couple of days.

Frustrating.

I have been reading the Message . . .

Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!

I have been feeling dark and dank during the last couple of days.

I haven’t been enjoying the wonder of God.  I have been grveling and moaning.  Sometimes it is so easy to do.  I look around at my circumstances and see all of the negative, but neglect to revel in the positive.  God help me.

I hope you saw some light today. I know just having your blog back is light to me…I really enjoy reading your life journey…

  2. Yeah, sometimes I wonder if we can ever “get there”. And not have to re-discover things over and again. So far, I have seen progress… but it never seems to take the form that I thought it should.
