Showing Off

So, here is my little girl.

As a father it is hard not to show off.

I am sure that many of you parents understand. I never want to become blind eyed or to overly favor my kids, but I am looking forward to learning how to balance personal pride while rightly assesing and rewarding other children.

Any suggestions or funny stories or touching stories in this regard?

I loved it when I said goodbye to her yesterday…and she said “Oh, I will see you ta-marr-ow…” I loved it that she thought we’d be together. Instead, though, I had to kiss her and say, no, she wouldn’t see me “ta-marr-ow”…but many days and she would see me again…

I probably don’t brag about my kids as much as I should…but I figure no one can appreciate them as much as I can anyway! 🙂 As long as your sweet babies know that YOU love them…through encouragement and discipline and attention…then others will see how you have poured into them, and that will bragging a’plenty.

I always think of the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ricky were so tired of hearing all the bragging from Carolyn Applebee … Lord help me to never be a Carolyn Applebee! ha ha)

But from the looks of your sweet girl, there is plenty to be bragging about. She’s a doll.
