An Ode to Death

3

March 21, 2005 by Isaac Hovet

Daybreak comes and lets light in.
I embrace the day.

Nightfall relieves the tired soul.
I long for the night.

All that remains is what You give me.
I carry Your burden.

Life brings joy to the soul.
I rejoice.

Death, so mysterious and sudden shocks my heart
I question.
I wonder.
I grieve.

  1. Grammy says:

Two babies, so precious, so priceless, now being raised by the stewards of God Almighty in His Kingdom, in His very presence…

  2. Grammy says:

    Oh, how my heart grieves…

  3. Mrs. Ferry says:

Yes, that is exactly what I think. When I first found out, I kept asking Ryan, I don’t get it, I don’t get it. I really thought we were going to have this one. I don’t know if I will ever understand. But now Ryan and I know that the two names that chose way back when we were dating are the two we have lost in the last 4months. We now know that Isaiah David was just joined by Molly Joy to be raised in the presence of the Lord. They are waiting for us there. Realizing that our two little ones have names and are life helps with the healing but also makes their loss harder. I can’t wait to see them someday, and I am anxious to have one on earth with me soon.
