The bean, please

I love the coffeeshop. Right now I am back at Bella Espresso. Too bad they don’t have a website where you could see some pictures of this place. It is really an experience. The music is soothing and the atmosphere borders on Gothic (statues, renaissance art, dim lights). A very nice place to reflect on the mystery of God and to dream of a deeper life.

I feel comfortable in the coffeeshop (especially when there is Wi-Fi). What do you like? Where do you spend your “free” time? Where do you reflect? What atmosphere moves you?

The bean, the comfort and Wi-Fi keep me in the coffeeshops, but what about you?

I love coffee shops…but spend most of my time “people watching”. Probably my favorite place is in my (dad’s) black chair with the ottoman…I have a nice lamp and access to all my books. I can just go “aaaaaaahhhhhhh…”

  2. I would sure like to relax with wi-fi in a darkish coffee shop.
My world doesn’t allow for that though. My reflection time comes on my motorcycle as I ride to work. My journaling/quiet time is on mornings when the lioness and I ride to work together. (she starts an hour earlier than me) I have about 40mins to watch the sun rise before I walk to work.

mmm…I love starbucks:) Getting an iced white chocolate mocha and sitting down at one of the tables…inside or out…with my journal and sometimes my Bible. I like that time to be by myself…away from people I know..and to write down how I feel or to figure out why different thoughts and feelings are going on in my head that day or that week. I also love the school that I volunteer at. I’m a teacher’s aid for the 2nd graders, and some times a librarian at Imlay Elementary. It’s wonderful to see the faces of kids who are still so innocent and have so much joy.

I love the quiet stillness of my home. I love to think and pray and read. So I hardly watch TV, I don’t go to coffee shops, and I really don’t go to malls. I love the quiet. It is very relaxing and rejuvenating to me. Thanks for asking….
